Friday we finally got out for a walk before dinner. A Chinook blew in and it was above 0C for the first time in what seemed like a month! Hubby's coworker/friend sent home a delicious meal for us so we didn't have to worry about cooking dinner. We have been meal planning fairly successfully but it was nice to not have to make dinner.

Saturday we dropped Audrey off at Uncle D and Auntie A's so she could spend the morning with them and cousin L. They went to Telus Spark- the science centre while hubby, Leo and I ran some errands, including braving the returns line at Ikea again! We bought 2 big shelves that we ended up not needing and wanted to buy a few other things there. Turns out in my sleep deprived state, I brought the wrong receipt (it had other shelves on it). Thankfully they gave us store credit (we have no problems using that up!) so the trip wasn't in vain. I probably would have cried if they wouldn't have allowed us to return them.
We stopped in Inglewood to go to the Silk Road Spice Merchant and have some lunch. We went to a quaint cafe that was nice but it took way too long for our food to arrive, although it was delicious.
After we picked up Audrey, she crashed on the way home. Hubby successfully carried her to bed for the rest of her nap. I even caught a short snooze on the couch while hubby went grocery shopping.
Sunday was daylight savings- it wasn't too disastrous for the children and we probably would have been tired regardless of "losing" an hour or not! We went to the Zoo in the morning which was lots of fun. Leo slept through the whole thing! Audrey suddenly didn't want to go in the stroller anymore so hubby carried her for a bit but she also walked a lot. She loved seeing all the animals, especially the tigers and elephants. It was so nice to finally be outside enjoying the fresh air and not having to be bundled in a million layers.

In the afternoon, hubby went to Costco while I stayed home with napping children. Probably not a good idea to send him there by himself!
It was such a beautiful weekend and I'm glad we were able to finally get outside.
