Outdoor Yoga

Yesterday we did a 4.53K run with the clinic. It was supposed to be 5K but honestly I wasn’t missing the 0.47K as it was so hot!! Thankfully we caught every single light so we got to rest a lot! We are so not used to running in heat! I am not complaining though- it just makes for a slower, sweatier run!

After our run we did a 30 minute outdoor yoga session with a guest instructor. It was the first time I have ever done yoga outside. It was an amazing experience! I do wish I had some bug spray. It was hard to do downward dog as the grass was a little rough on the hands but some of the other poses were easier because you could grip the grass a bit more.

If you haven’t done yoga outdoors before, I highly recommend it!


  1. There is outdoor yoga in Kamloops every Sunday. I have been meaning to go for a few weeks but haven't gotten around to it. I should definitely try it!

  2. I've always wanted to do an outdoor yoga class. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one. There's one on Parliament Hill every week- but when I lived in Ottawa I didn't work close enough to be able to go (it was a weekday noon class).

  3. I brought bug spray for my first go at outdoor yoga tonight.

  4. It definitely was hot out last night! I biked home and I was drenched in sweat by the time I got home. And I have never done an outdoor yoga class...sounds fun though!
